The Absence of Understanding

          Grade yourself:

                   A        Struggle between knowing right from wrong

                   B        Follow the crowd rather than lead

                   C        Don’t have real commitments

                   D        Confused on what to do in and with my life

                   E        Unsure of God’s plan/will for my life

                   F        Conform to other’s standards

The Addition of Understanding

Solomon: "Give me an understanding mind so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between what is right and what is wrong” (1 Kings 3:9).

         Understanding leads to REAL LIFE.

Leave behind your foolishness and begin to live; learn how to be wise (Proverbs 9:6).

          Real living leads to GODLINESS.

For the reverence and fear of God are basic to all wisdom.  Knowing God results in every other kind of understanding (Proverbs 9:10).

          Godliness leads to know UNDERSTANDING.

Understanding God's Will

1. Check out the WORD of God.                                 Key word: BIBLE

2. Check out the PRESENCE of God in your life.             Key word: HOLY SPIRIT

3. Check out the DIRECTION of God in your life.           Key word: PRAYER

4. Check out the WISDOM of others.                           Key word: FELLOWSHIP
